What are some ingredients to avoid when buying lotion?

I don't avoid ingredients. Most lotions are made from the same limited pool of ingredients with little variation. I avoid certain fragrances and scents because I don't like them or they give me a headache. No patchouli or heavy jasmine scents for me. Also my husband is very sensitive to many fragrances so I avoid ones that make him sneeze, cough, and wheeze.
