If the Trump administration failed to prevent covid-19 from destroying the economy, should they give more stimulus to people in need ?
The holidays often make people more vulnerable to feeling depressed or anxious. But for the millions of Americans suffering from a pandemic-induced financial crisis, the risk is much greater this season.
Many are at their wit's end. And it doesn't appear that help is on the way.
Congress is still at odds over a package that would provide additional economic aid to those who have lost their jobs or are struggling to get by. For many Americans, federal pandemic benefits are set to expire by the end of next month -- if they haven't already.
Readers have told CNN Business how desperate, dismayed and depressed they've become.

Just to update those "intelligent people" blaming Nancy, in a speech Mitch McConnell admitted that he convinced Trump not to proceed with the negotiations until after the election. The idea was, and proven by the intellectual giants repeating the lie, that people would believe that Nancy Pelosi was responsible and it would harm the Democrats. While this may have worked to a degree in Congress and the Senate it did not provide enough support for the office of President.
As for the question, there was no way any administration could have prevented Covid-19. However had Trump not intentionally down played the seriousness of the virus and taken immediate action it is likely that the total cases and deaths in the US would be lower than they currently are. If Trump truly believed that he won the election he would be working on the stimulus package instead of playing golf. So yes, the government should be actively working on a second stimulus package but it is unlikely to occur under the Trump administration as he is more concerned with spending taxpayer money on himself and fundraising to cover his own debt than actually leading the country.

Almost a year later, Cases are increasing all over the northern hemisphere. You blame Trump, as many in the US are. Yet think about it, we all know by now what to do, Ca lead the way in cases yesterday. So it isn't just red, just Trump people. It's everyone, everyone who somehow have failed to learn how to behave.

Sins of the father will be passed down to the sons like a family curse until someone in their generation or a future generation can do the right thing. Karma is real

Better you should ask Little Nancy, dear. She's been the hold-up for many months now.

How f'ing retarded are you? Trump is not a God with magic, and Democrats are the ones doing lockdowns.
Pelosi is the reason no 2nd check got sent out.

No, we need to cut back on spending to pay off the national debt. More spending going forward is not an option.

Given, oh yea, more proof that democrats are government dependents. Next time just scream bigot and racism for travel restrictions concerning the virus. Oh wait!
