Is it true to say "James kicked two goals and scored another with a header." or should we use "scored two goals" or are both correct?

James scored 3 goals, one with his head.

Yes. It is correct. A header is using your head, while kicking involves your feet. A header is the correct way to say someone scored a goal using their head vice their feet.

This doesn't make sense. If he kicked two goals and "scored another", then he scored three goals in total.
