How many layers of skin do humans have?

I am preparing for the ATI Teas test in January.

During my studies of the Integumentary systems, I have read that the hypodermis (subcutaneous tissue or superficial fascia) layer is not part of the skin, so the two layers of the skin are the epidermis (outer most) and the dermis. Then I took the practice test and the same that I posted came up, but their (ATI TEAS 6) answer was three (epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis.) Now, I am a bit confused.
