What's constitutes a good colour for living wall room walls?

I live in a country where we have almost 10 months of summers, 22 months winters in short most of the year it's hot. I'm getting my house redone and wondering what would be the best option for living room walls. my choice is chocolate brown with hint of black textures. Would it work or lend a warm feeling in already warmer climate?

Always use a high quality paint. Chocolate is not good for walls.
