No. Pokémon were bred to battle each other so that they get stronger. Survival of the fittest. If they didn’t battle each other, they wouldn’t evolve and won’t get stronger.
They also learn while battling which they can share with other Pokémon. It’s like the honeybees figuring out a way to kill the murder hornets. They swarm the hornet, then rub their wings to produce heat which then cooks the hornet. A few bees will die but it ensures the survival of the species.
