Their floats bump into each other, after which Student 2 is moving with the velocity of 0.0182 in the x-direction. If Student 1 weighs 57.1 kg, and Student 2 weighs 82.1 kg, what is the velocity of Student 1 after the bump?

I think you mean student 2 is moving in the +y direction, at least that is what the drawing shows.??
And the after drawing shows them both moving in the NE direction, which again doesn't match the drawing.
Is the collision elastic or not?
