Christians, can you defend this?

So Bill Barr is trying to bring back the firing squad. Yes, he is a religious zealot and blood-thirsty. How is this pro-life?

Few are as bloodthirsty as right-wing Christians. They only care about the lives of embryos and fetuses, and everybody else can go die like a dog for all they care.

No, it's not the same as abortion, because keeping government out of private health decisions is not at all the same as government killing people in cruel ways.

"Pro-life" has to do with being pro INNOCENT life like that of an unborn child.

Governments are God's instruments who "bear the sword" (an obvious instrument of death) to punish wrongdoers (Rom 13:1-5).  The apostle Paul was not against the death penalty, even if he was found to be worthy of death (Ac 25:11).

The death penalty can deter crimes, thus God himself used it in his theocracy with the ancient Israelites.  (BTW firing squads are still allowed in OK and UT.)

I mean: is Bill Barr (whoever that is) claiming that proposal **is** pro-life?

No, there is no defense for that. Not only is it not pro-life it's cruel and inhumane punishment design to provide entertainment for evil blood-thirsty people like Trump, Barr, and all Trump enablers and supporters who favor Barr's efforts.

They do cherry pick as to what they consider pro-life.  Many of them do not care if a baby dies of disease or starves after it is brought to term also.
