Yes.  I don't think it's illegal, but it's against theater rules and they'll kick you out.

Nope, I tried that and was sentenced to prison for 10 years flat. Snitches end up in ditches.

Yes you can report it to the staff but they look for that closely nowadays, cameras with night vision can see everyone as though the lights are on.
