What is the best filesystem for network sharing?

    You usually put things that are somewhat important on network shares.  So you usually use some type of redundant raid system.  You should choose one that can work with the loss of one drive at the very least like raid 5 or 6.

    If you are talking about a single drive system, the it depends on the server you are using and what is most reliable for the server, not the client.
