How appropriate would it be for the Interior Secretary to be of Native-American dissent?

    You mean 'descent'.

    I kind of like the idea.  But heritage doesn't really count for much in politics.  For instance, look at Clarence Thomas.  Did anyone really think he would be more sensitive to the needs and problems of black people?

    Doesn't matter what flavor the person is....as long as the individual is competent.
