Why are people concerned about the Covid vaccine being rushed out fast?
Isn’t the flu vaccine redeveloped the same way every year to match the newest strains?

Some unintelligent people have been reading conspiracy theories, so they are afraid of it. Sensible people would rather get the vaccine, which has been tested, and live longer.

I doesn't matter when or how it is produced the conspiracy nuts will be against it.

We have never had in the history of the world a messenger RNA virus vaccine. Do you know what can happen to those who receive such a vaccine one, two, three, ten, twenty, forty years from now?
The first flu vaccine was made in the 1940's which is completely different from the mRNA vaccines.

Because a truly safe and truly effective vaccine usually takes MUCH LONGER to develop.
The flu vaccine took more than a year to perfect and it is only because of decades of testing and studies that a good flu vaccine is available each year.

Not enough testing could lead to MAJOR complications that may takes years to unwind.
The flu is a KNOWN virus, so a yearly update is no big deal, but coronavirus is NOVEL, meaning heretofore unheard of.
The flu vaccine initially took years, even a decade to get right.

1. So we can go back to business as usual.
2. No, it's not, not at all.
