is it better to take your dog outside on a leash or let them out on a chain?
ok someone said i need to explain this post better so basically there are backyard chains you can get for your dog and they're really long and they allow your dog to run around and do whatever they want to exercise/get their energy out. it's also convenient in the winter. and of course taking them out on a leash just means walking them outside to go to the bathroom
For me, needing to use a chain when a dog is outside is just ridiculous. You say they allow the dog to run around ....... so what if the long chain gets tangled up in something, as can so easily happen. So much for the dog being able to run around as you imagine. He could be hung actually.
Taking them ouit on a lead for a good decent daily walk = VITAL for the well being of the dog, and you!!
Fence your back area so the dog can run around without being caught up in a chain fgs.

Take the dog for walks on a leash. Here it is illegal to chain a dog, I don't know about where you are from. Don't you have a fenced in backyard for the dog? If you got a dog you need a fenced yard.
Not quite sure what you are getting at here!
Do mean walk the dog on leash or tether it out on a chain?
Obviously walking a dog is 100 times better than tethering it out on a chain.
You need to explain this post in more detail.
to take them out is very obviously of course

Take the dog out on leash. Being on a leash means you can see what the dog is up to, whether bathrooming (if needed) and who or what they come in contact with. If going outside your yard, you will provide far more exercise than a chained dogs gets. If chained, your dog is at the mercy of; thieves, other dogs or predators - including coyote.

You should not leave any dog outside on a line unless you stay out there with him. When a dog is tethered, they cannot get away from any animal that might attack.
