Would it be weird to skip your brother's funeral to go on a planned vacation?

Like if your brother dies unexpectedly or something, would it come across weird to skip the funeral and go on a planned vacation or something ?

"Weird" isn't the word I'd use. I'd use a much stronger word than "weird."
