Was it successful? Sure. That's why we didn't fight a war in the 1940s, no soldiers died, and Germany now controls all of Europe. Do you think about these questions before you post them?

The British believed appeasing Hitler would prevent another World War. It was a very successful policy... for Hitler.

Foreign policy of pacifying an aggrieved country through negotiation in order to prevent war. The prime example is Britain's policy toward Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany in the 1930s.
And now the alleged coming Foreign Policy of the Harris/Biden administration.
