They’ll have a job getting passed the established African nations (Morocco, Cameroon, Nigeria, Senegal etc). Those countries have better football infrastructures than Mali does and they have players in the top leagues of Europe.

Reasonable chance. The African qualification system is tough though. The final round is a pure knockout over 2 legs and it all depends on the luck of the draw if they make it that far.
