is it normal for a desktop computer to make some noise whilst it is running?

i got my windows 7 desktop computer in 2015, i love it it has been very reliable, however when its on, ive noticed it always has made a humming sound......and it made me beg the question is it normal for a desktop computer to make some noise whilst it is on and running?

All computers have cooling fans inside that kick on and off to keep it from overheating.
