Of course we do! We are all doing our best to do our jobs to the best of our ability in these 'tough' times.

I don't know whether you deserve them or not. It's nice to receive them, but "deserving" them is a different matter.

Kind words and compliments are NOT required anywhere. Employers hire employees to do a job - not to demand kind words and compliments.

Unless you're receiving negative comments from your boss, a complement isn't necessary.

Yes we should be kind to one another at work but we don't work to gain compliments. We work to do our jobs well and to get paid. If you are looking for validation, it is there each time you are paid.
