Anyone watching the George Floyd stuff on Court TV?

Watched it last night and they say part of the reason why he moved to Minneapolis along with finding as job was to get treated for his alcohol  addiction.

But obviously he leaves his family behind in Houston.

Isn't there something twisted about this?

He couldn't get help and find a job in his home town?

Not sure why he is famous in UK when a criminal killed by police in any other country half a year ago would not be famous in UK

He wasn't a savoury character but that's not a death penalty offence

The explanation for the move given at the time of his death was he moved to Minneapolis to escape the criminal culture in Houston and rebuild his life.
