Soldiers & Sailors & Woodsmen, people who survive in the wild on a daily basis,, how would you make a fire with wet Fuel,, what would you do?

adding beeswax or other grease, or tree resin, to make it "waterproof", while keeping something like dirt or sand or mud (ANCIENT remedy for grease fire) handy,,,,,   Obviously enough Ventilation would be CRITICAL, as this will be VERY smoky; How would you make a "drying kiln" for anything else you have for fuel,,, What would you add to my methods,,,, Flares, candles and other store bought incendiaries and fats are useful, but obviously what interests me most is what can be gotten In The Wild.
