Your password is too similar to the one you've used previously.?

I just write a long strong password with a ONE wrong letter, and "YAHOO" don't let me correct it:

"Your password is too similar to the one you've used previously."

WHAT THE HELL! is there any way to pass it?

I don't want to delete my account after 20 years

To keep your account secure you cannot re-use old passwords you have used before. If you are trying to create another one, and it is too similar to the old one you won't be able to use it either.

    You are totally overreacting

If you got one letter wrong, try again

If you get the same messag e,  try again and come up with a different password that you can remember. You can use birthrates of relatives vor pets or the date you graduated from high school or college as part of the password.

No. Most sites now use something similar, especially if like Yahoo, there were previous hacking attacks.
