any recommended modem/router?
Hi, for comcast 300 mbp, can any recommend a modem/router for me? Should I get a modem/router combo, or get them separate? Should I get a router with beamforming? thank you!

If you stream watch, then beam forming will help. Although it is more complicated, I always do separate devices simply because you can upgrade the wifi easily and modems tend to die less often then routers. If your router is down and modem good, then you can run to the store and grab another router without having to deal with Comcast.
Modems are dumb, I always get the Motorola/Arris surfboard. Now for router, I've had so many that I can't comment but try and get the most advanced WIFI.

if you only have one computer, be sure to get a gigabit router.
otherwise, it doesn't really matter. most websites still don't download faster than 6Mbps.

I think they work better if you get them separate. I would rent a modem, and then buy your own router with good specs.
