Weird noises?

Recently, I've been starting to make weird noises- gasps, shrieks, etc. This has only been happening for a few weeks. Hard to repress, but not impossible. It just feels weird. 

For some background info, I'm a teenage female and I am autistic, but this is a very recent occurrence.

Is this random, is there a reason?

I knew someone with a similar problem.  Only the noises she made were farting.  They eventually diagnosed her as being mentally retarded.
