Is it right for my co worker who was seen breaking windows of capital building the other day to be fired for his criminal behavior?

This is up to the co-worker's boss/supervisor. If he or she gets fired............then he or she deserved it.

Were that the case it would almost always result in being fired. No employer wants an employee whose behavior will cause trouble among the workforce and might influence customers', regulators', or other people's opinion of the company. Basically, firing him is self-defense for the employer.

It is the right of the employer, yes. Unless an employee is under some sort of contract and the termination can be challenged, employees are employed at the will of their employers, and there needs to be NO reason for termination as long as the termination is not discriminatory against a federally-protected class.
