Not took over, but definitely influenced. Hip Hop culture is unique in many ways. It's the greatest lab for lyric and beat structure, completely flying over every dividing line to assimilate all aspects of the music and dance world into itself. It's experimental nature has build so many bridges and expanded people's sphere of music in many accounts. The rap genre has definitely become a world-wide phenomenon. It's historical significance has impacted the culture of countries and the internet in a lot of major ways. No doubt, rap and hip hop is a force to be reckoned with.

    Pretty much

if not all then most countries have had Rappers emerge especially in recent years. It seems to be one of the most popular genres in most countries.Which in return becomes the most popular genre in the world. It is my favorite genre of music  and seems to be a lot of peoples too.

I guess so, it was better in the 2000s.

  • Yeah because there’s a lot of artists who made music that sells better in Europe or Asia than in America.
