Just two side lengths is not enough information to say whether the triangles are congruent (C).

But if we also know that each triangle has an obtuse angle in the position shown, then it is impossible for the triangles to be congruent (B).

So we have to ask, how much of the drawing can we assume to be accurate? Of course the literal triangles drawn there do not actually have side lengths of 6 cm and 13 cm.

From the information given , the answer is NO.!!!

For congruency to occur you need three bits of information, must be equal in each triangle. they are:-

SSS ( Side, Side, Side)

SAS ( Side, Angle, Side)

ASA ( Angle, Side, Angle).

But NOT AAA ( Angle, Angle, Angle ; similar Triangles).

The answer is 'C'.

You can only use the information marked. There are two pairs of sides marked with the same measurements.

We can't deduce anything about the third side or any angles. It does *appear* that the angles between the two sides are different (one acute and one obtuse) but you should never make assumptions based solely on the drawing.

The triangles may not be drawn to scale with the correct angles. So it's still possible for the triangles to be congruent even if they are drawn so they don't look congruent.

C is the answer. nothing fixes the length of the third side, or any one of the angles, so the shape of either triangle cannot be known. Just because they look about the same does not mean that they have to be.

Whether to answer B or C depends on whether the drawing should be taken to be meaningful.

If the drawing is meaningful, the answer is B, because the 13 cm on the left is the longest side, and on the right there is obviously a side longer than the 13 cm.

If the drawing is not meaningful, the answer is C, because you would need either some measurement of equal angles or else the third side, to be able to say they are congruent -- but they COULD be congruent if the drawing is meaningless.
