She was drunk all the time. It would be fine if she actually earned her fortune.

Why are you asking? She's a part of the system. Like the Castro's in Cuba. Like the president of the USA. They're not producers. They're the Overlords. You need to be told what to do.

Princess Margaret was a wonderful woman until her Mother Ruined her Life and that for the man she Loved Group captain Townsend

the queen Mother was an evil sadistic woman her Husband died, and she blamed the Prince of Wales

she said she would never Curtsy to that women and then at the Funeral she did

when Townsend died Margaret went to Pieces all because of a selfish Mother

Margaret didn't chose to be a sponger. She loved the arts and would have probably studied hard to get a university degree and worked in a field not unlike what Eugenie has chosen to do. Under the same circumstances, many would drink themselves to death.

To anti-monarchists, Margaret would be seen as such, as would any royal.

Margaret represented the crown around the world, making official visits to South Africa, the British colonies in the Caribbean, represented the Crown at independence ceremonies in Jamaica  and Tuvalu and Dominica,East Africa and Mauritius, the United States, Japan,Canada  Australia, the Philippines, Swaziland, and China.

Margaret's charitable works were were welfare charities, music and ballet;she was president of the National Society, and of the Royal Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and Invalid Children's Aid Nationwide (also called 'I CAN'). Margaret was Grand President of the St John Ambulance Brigade, and Colonel-in-Chief of Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps. She was also the president or patron of numerous organizations, such as the West Indies Olympic Association, the Girl Guides,Northern Ballet Theatre,Birmingham Royal Ballet,Scottish Ballet,Children 1st,Tenovus Cancer Care, the Royal College of Nursing, and the London Lighthouse (an AIDS charity that has since merged with the Terrence Higgins Trust).

Margaret was sometimes seen as not as active as some other royals, at times criticized for this perception.  http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/1100612.stm

She held 41 patronages compared to the Queen Mother's 350... Margaret did work for the monarchy, but possible did less than some other members of the family.

No more than any other 'spare' really.    She did a lot of charity work but in reality, not much else was expected of her.    It has been said she did sponge on others.

She was the Queen's sister. She did not need to contribute anything to the nation. She was an active patron of numerous charities, so almost certainly contributed more than you.
