My resting heart rate is 80, is there any way I can lower it?
I'm 16 years old, and I had a checkup a few days ago and my resting heart rate was 80bpm, I wasn't stressed, I weigh 178lbs and I'm 6'0. So I don't know if that's higher than normal and I should do something to lower it.
Any help will be appreciated
thanks!

Hi there! Sounds like your resting heart rate is healthy!! But if you want to lower it the best way I can think to do it is physical activity especially cardio. So try to exercise frequently. I suggest brisk walking or even running for 30 minutes a day. This should make a difference after about a month!

Normal heart rate is 60-100 bpm. You said you'd had a checkup just a few days ago, & your heart rated was 80, & you were stressed. Wasn't there anything said to you at the end of the checkup?
