One payment every two weeks or fortnightly.

Bi-weekly means two weeks. Semi-weekly means twice per week.

Oddly, 'bi-weekly' officially can mean either.  It *typically* means every 2 weeks.  If you're dealing with payments, it most certainly means that as processing 2 payments a week would just not be a thing.

A lot of people think a month has 4 weeks. The avg month actually has 4.33 weeks.

Bi weekly= every other week.  That's how I used to get paid when I had a job.  26 paychecks a year. (That was before direct deposit)
