Lubbock vs Amarillo? ?

I’m not familiar with Texas but have potential opportunities to be in either Lubbock or Amarillo for jobs. I’m looking for something family oriented but would love feedback on both places. Thank you!

Just give as much detail as you know. Weather, safety, things to do, schools, etc

I don't know much detail but I think I would prefer Lubbock.  I think it would have more opportunities.
