Were you taught to swim by your parents by being thrown in the middle of a lake? Did you find it as difficult as me to get out of the sack?

Update:

@ Elizabeth - And fish fingers

@ BK - I love a bit of escapism

@ MJB - You were lucky, mine later tried wet concrete under a road

@ Kathy - You were lucky

@ gibbs - It was a knotty problem!

Update 2:

@ F - Brrr. I wear a wet suit in the English Channel but it's still freezing!

@ APm - I have a sinking feeling you are right

@ LB - He wanted a bouncing baby boy

@ Jack - You must have been knackered after that!

@ CT - But you got along swimmingly

@ Polly - Did you feel a bit run down?

I wasn't ever taught to swim by my parents, but I have fond memories of them encouraging me to play on busy highways while they went to the nightclub

You should be thankful, RR. How else would you have discovered your webbing, gills and trident weapon?
