Bernie is just a funny and nice guy.  Not all agree with his ideas, but he does speak from his heart.  We can all use a good laugh these days.

To many of us coastal types Bernie is a carbon copy of our weird uncle from Berkeley who used to show up for every Seder and spend the whole time comparing the slavery of the Israelites in Egypt to the plight of the Palestinians. So he's like a bizarre childhood memory that reminds us of home (with our radical leftist parents).
