do this -- from the command prompt, run DxDiag.  your cpu and mobo are on the first page of output.  take the cpu data to any 'bottlenecking' website and use it with a junk gpu ... let the website tell you what gpus will work well with your cpu.  make a list of the top ten, then go to comparative gpu power rankings from a site like tomshardware or guru3d.  there, you want to find the current models that are similar in power.  Those you take to your favorite online vendor's site and check prices.  -- GL   -- grampa  [I built and rebuilt my own]
