Well, I needed heart surgery as a baby or I would have died a slow, lingering death, but I don't consider that an illness so much as shoddy construction. I nearly died of pneumonia in my early 20s which was a shock because I went from just having a regular winter cold to ER in the blink of an eye. It actually took several years before I felt fully recovered. I really feel for people with long Covid now and sort of hope that since it exists enough people get it that employers have no choice but to accommodate a slightly slower pace so people can work and recover instead of being made sicker and forced out of employment for who knows how long.

I was born with my scrotum attached to my butt, so you can imagine how serious things get when I'm exhausted and need to take a seat..
