Is this good advice that my Mom used to give me?

Whenever I would cry as a young child my mom used to say ‘it’s okay to cry. Everybody cries. Just make sure that once you’re finished crying you get back up and keep going. Don’t give up.’

She was a very wise woman I think. She always knew what to say

Sounds like your mother was a very intelligent and sensitive person.  There are some things that we can take from our relationship with our parents...that advice she gave you is a gem.
