My grandma had a shoe hurled at her out of anger and she has a brain injury now. Can I get arrested, even though I’m sorry?
"Had a shoe hurled at her" is different from "I hit Grandma with a shoe". If the latter is true and she wishes to press charges you may be arrested. But what you probably need is some serious anger management treatment.
thats up to the judge to decide

I love how you worded it so as not to confess, but as a way to ask it anyways.
'My grandma had a shoe hurled at her'
you don't say it's you but we can still just assume based on the wording.
Let me know how grandmas doing before you sneak into the hospital to finish the job.
