Why on earth does Calvinism teach God did NOT give man a free will to choose?

The most famous and well known scripture in the bible (John 3:16) is all about free will.

Calvinism is so dumb. To act like God predetermined who goes to hell is basically the most idiotic thing to ever come out of someone's mouth. Why even preach the Gospel when it's already set? Calvinism is basically so people can feel superior to others while falsely taking the name of Christ, like they're special. ALL have a chance to be saved and it's up to YOU if you get saved or not, no one else, as GOD HIMSELF designed and wills and makes 100% in your face clear throughout the whole of scripture.

Update: I was serious. According to Old Testament law, all Christian men should be bearded.
