Why don't we build an Earth twin?
We'd have to do it, maybe with lasers and 3D printers. Or maybe some kind of fancy atom manipulation. Make it massless, or somehow gratityless, until we're ready to move there. That way the planets won't collide. Then we hop on over there if some kind of emergency arrives, just after switching gravity with planet Earth.
A few details to work out.

We don't even have enough money to build a space colony on Mars. There's no way in hell that we could afford to pay for "another Earth."

god what do stupid people do all day make it out of something but make it massless
just for the record a 3 d printer makes matter from matter ..so it would take 1kg of stuff to make 1 kg of 3d printed stuff
it probably takes a bit more as there is a conversion loss probably

There already is one, on the exact opposite side from the Sun.
China is planning to send a probe there.

Because the US signed the Outer Space Treaty. The new Earth would be something the US taxpayers would pay for, but couldn't claim ownership of if they followed the treaty.
