Working on commission?
In order to break into the financial services industry in the UK. I took a fintech sales person job that pays on commission to gain international experience and yes i can afford to do this. Do you believe from a career perspective that this was a good career strategy?

It would make no difference unless you earned a living wage in commission only , so as you said "yes i can afford to do this" that suggests you didn't earn ..... commission only is not a way to 'get into the financial industry' qualifications and working your way up the ladder in a job impresses employers

Yes, because as a 100% commissioned representative you will be paid exactly what you are worth rather than allowing a larger company to capitalize on your talent. But on the flip side, if you aren't as good as you need to be, your income will suffer.
