# Math help, please?

Please help me answer this question:

1) The volume of one marble bookend is 2897.5 cm³. An artist has a 0.25m³ block of marble. How many bookends can be made?

The shape of the bookend is a trapezoidal prism. It's a cube on the bottom and kind of like a triangle on top that tappers down like a ramp. The dimensions of the cube are height 15 cm, length 20 cm, width 7.5 cm. For the triangle shape on top, its height is 3.5 cm, length 20 cm, and width 7.5 cm

It depends on the shape of the block and the bookend ! If they are just the right shape, it might be possible to get 86 bookends out of the 250000 cm^3 of marble. Or it could be many fewer, if either the block or the bookends are the "wrong" shape.
