What causes me to cough? I’m not ill ?

This morning I went for a nice walk with my family around my area and it snowed heavily too! I had a bit of tickle in my throat so I was coughing a bit.

when it's snowing outside the air is dry because all moisture in the air has crystalized and fallen to the ground, dry air makes your throat dry which is irritating to it and will make you cough
