Is Charles Bukowski a bad writer or is it just me?

I went from reading Stephen King to Bukowski. BIG difference.

Update:

Bukowski rushes things too much. Hes in one city and then your turn a couple pages over the character is in another city without given reasons. It's weird writing.

What are your criteria for determining "bad writing"?

If you're implying that you find Stephen King to be a good writer and Charles Bukowski to be a bad writer, then you know as much about writing as you do about the history of copper smelting in pre-Columbian South America. "Ham on Rye", "Women", and "Factotum" are whole parsecs ahead of anything King could ever possibly hope to author.

Bukowski is a little off-beat, but widely regarded as a good writer, which Stephen King isn't. King is great on plotting- not so much on writing.
