Average the x coordinates of the two endpoints. You get 1.5.
Average the y coordinates of the two endpoints. You get 1.5.
The midpoint of the line segment is (1.5, 1.5).

The Y Length 4-(-1) =5 1/2 of 5 is 2-1/2 Length. Add this to -1 +(2-1/2) Y =1-1/2
The X length is 4-(-1)= 5 1/2 of 5 is 2-1/2 length. Add this to -1 +2-1/2 = 1-1/2
therefore the midpoint of the line will be at coordinate (1-1/2, 1-1/2).
the midpoint (middle point) is the middle of the blue line segment, which is at 1/2 the length of the line. It must be expressed as an (x,y) coordinate.
