Is the corporate world run by software companies nowadays?

Question

People don’t like to hear it but the computer programming nerds are basically running corporate America these days I feel like. Is that true in your opinion? And I know someone is going to mention politicians but I’m talking from a purely innovation and corporate based perspective. Even financial companies are mainly reliant on extremely fast computing algorithms to run extremely high numbers of transactions and trading, run by AI, etc etc for the basis of their core functionality. Engineering and computers is taking over the world it seems
