Is Ireland considered the halfway point by sea between Britain and North America?

    You did not say where in Britain or North America.  I will assume London and New York City. The Half Way Point is out in the Middle of the North Atlantic Ocean.

    No, no, no!!!

    As soon as its passed Ireland the ship's captain has to immediately instruct his crew to prepare to dock at the US port to which they are sailing. North America is only just past Ireland. In fact children in the west of Ireland and in New York shout insults to each other across the narrow body of water. Indeed, children have been known to swim across. Irish children, though, stopped when the New Yorkers put pictures of Trump up. It scared the Irish children and they stayed away.
