Penguins are at the south pole (plus areas outside the polar region).

Don't they teach anything in school anymore?

Polar Bears live in the Arctic (North) - Canada - Alaska - Russia -

Penguins live in the South, but not just on Antarctica.  They live on most of the islands in the Southern Ocean Even Australia and South Island New Zealand.

Polar bears live in the northern part of the Northern Hemisphere. Penguins live in the Southern Hemisphere. They get as far north as the Equator but never cross it, under natural conditions.

Polar bears live near the north pole, and penguins live near the south pole.  I suppose they could switch and still survive.
