Can you still transfer money to a bank with just an account number (no routing number)?
I tried transferring money from my school account to my bank. But my school account did not ask for the routing number (just the account number) before I sent my money to my personal bank.

No, routing # is required. Did you give it to them before? Or if they know your bank the routing number is easy to find.

you must have already had the routing number of the bank on file, they must be asking you for the account # for verification purposes only, otherwise they would not be able to complete the transfer since your account # would only mean something to your bank
