Why are a lot of people surprised that Jim Carrey is a fan of death metal band Cannibal Corpse?

I'm not a fan of CC even though i like death metal bands like pig destroyer and system of a down but can't a comedian enjoy death metal no matter how angry it sounds? I think death metal can be good to listen to when working out in a gym. Doesn't necessarily mean its satan's music.

I think people misunderstand comedians . I think a lot of comedians are actually pretty dark inside and they put on a charade in public .

I can't understand why anybody would care. Jim Carrey is a reprehensible actor with zero comedic talent. If you were to tell me that he loved Ethiopian food I wouldn't give a toss about that either.
