At one time, "Rolling Stone" magazine said that the BEST place to grow pot in the U.S. was Douglas County, Missouri. Having lived one county east of that for a few years ...

the soil is rocky, mostly red clay (a very thin layer of topsoil ... 1 to maybe 2" at most).  The growing season is long and hot (90 to 110 for highs in the height of the summer months) and it rarely rains through June to September (the occasional thundestorm)..  Lots of heat and sun, little water, and poor soil.

We have to assume you're in the USA. It is a federal crime to possess any amount of any part of any Cannabis plant for any purpose not licensed by the DEA.

Sorry, we're not allowed to give advice to people here about how to violate the federal criminal laws.  Your question will probably be flagged as a violation.

A rich loam, but honestly, it's called "weed" because it grows in anything. If you're growing indoors, a bag of any "potting mix" and some water soluble fertilizer to water in monthly should do you. A 5-10-5 fertilizer would emphasize flowering.

I think most growers agree a good cannabis soil should look dark and rich, with a loose texture that drains well and can hold water without getting muddy
