NZ is thousands of miles away from the rest of the world it also has a tiny population it is also not an important world hub for travel , business and finance . There is no way you can compare or say if this if that . It also seems in the UK there are to many people who will happily agree to really harsh lockdowns never to leave the house for months on end but if you tell these people that the money is drying up they will soon decide total lockdown is not a good thing .

Not worth it. The English simply will not obey the rules. Look at all the pictures in the papers of idiotic people mingling about in crowds without masks. Completely daft. 

New Zealanders obviously have a stricter police force, or the people are more sensible and intelligent. 

Ardern cannot fix stupidity.
